On the eve of the 65th anniversary of the end of World War II, WMNI is dedicating next year to honoring the men and women who served.
Over 16 million Americans served in the military during World War II. Almost half a million were killed in action. There are only two million of these heroes left to tell the story.
We’ll look back to news from the war 65 years ago that day and feature a member of the WMNI World War II Honor Roll, a World War II veteran living or deceased whose story of service has been shared by their family. We’ll recognize veterans until the 65th anniversary of VJ day August 15th.
