Big Ten Conference Becomes Next Division I Program To Postpone Football Season

(Columbus, OH) -- Despite denying reports from over the weekend, the Big Ten Conference is postponing the fall season for seven sports.

The Big Ten officially announced the move on Tuesday after days of speculation and conflicting reports, saying the postponement was made because of concerns due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Officials say they will try to move the schedules for football, volleyball, field hockey, cross country, and golf to the spring, if possible.

Sources say Ohio State's administration was against postponing and wanted to delay the start of the season instead.
