(Columbus, OH) -- Ohio State University President Kristina Johnson is condemning the behavior that led to a riot at an off-campus party this weekend.
Johnson posted on Twitter Sunday afternoon, saying the actions were unacceptable and did not represent most students. According to reports, over 30 Columbus Police cruisers responded early Sunday morning off Chittenden Avenue to a block party known as Chitt Fest that had turned violent with overturned cars and smashed windows.
Anyone with information on those who participated in the vandalism is asked to contact Columbus Police.
Last night’s behavior and destruction of property just off campus are unacceptable, and for our students who were involved, this does not represent who we are as Buckeyes.— Kristina M. Johnson (@PresKMJohnson) April 18, 2021
