Westerville Middle School Student Arrested After Making Threats With Gun

(Westerville, OH) -- Police say they have released a sixth-grader at Blendon Middle School accused of making threats with a gun into the custody of their parents.

Principal Kendall Harris sent a letter to parents yesterday saying police were contacted after school authorities were alerted to the threats. Officials say the student made the threats and showed the firearm in a group chat with other students off school grounds.

The suspect had not been at school recently due to previous disciplinary actions.
